Very good food and service

I can’t tell u name of dish I got but it was amazing- I’m from Chicago and always feel we have the best Hispanic food in America but this restaurant is amazing I must say

This place has wonderful TexMex! I highly recommend carne asada burrito s here! As well as their avacodo salad

They were nice when we walked in and ordered. Food was good, but service was terrible. After we got our food and drinks, not once did they ask us how our food was. Nobody refilled our drinks. I had to grab someone and ask for a refill. We saw a lady get up with her glasses and asked for refills. That's pretty ridiculous. And it was, like, 4:00 and it wasn't busy at all. There's no excuse for that. We were from out of town and went with my in laws. If I lived around there I don't think I'd go back.

Terrible, terrible, terrible service! Someone should check this place out for violation of child labor laws! I had to ask virtually every time for a refill. They give you like a tablespoon of salsa because they are so cheap! They must have only had one cook, because the wait was forever and there were only two other people in the restaurant. Too many other choices to waste your time and money on this place, and I'm not an overly picky person. Thumbs down!

My first time trying Ernesto's, and I was not disappointed! I ordered it via DoorDash. It took a bit longer than expected to arrive, but it was worth the wait!! The Mexican shrimp cocktail was AMAZEBALLS. My kids loved the taquitos and nachos. My enchiladas were delish. I am stuffed and happy. 😁

Great prices and friendly staff. Service was quick and did a good job on drink and chip refills. Food was quite good and I'll be back.

If I could give no stars I would. Got there on a Friday and expect to wait however the girl couldn’t serve us for an hour only water and two bowls of chips later we finally got to order never got our food for over an hour and a half. Several people were served and all they could say was we don’t know what happened no manager or anyone who could help us! No one knew what was going on! Need a Manager !

If you love home cooking, unique and tasty meals and amazing service - this is the place for you!! We have heard about Ernesto's from friends, so today we made it a point to come by and have lunch.Smiles on the faces of all those eating is a good indicator. Ernesto's is now a family favorite and we will be back!!

Love this place. Chips and salsa are amazing. My personal favorite is the #25. Enchilada, taco, & rellno. Friday Saturday Sunday PAPUSAS!!

My parents go to mexican resturaunt in St. George. Good food and a lovely atmosphere. Killer margaritas as a bonus.

Thought the food overall was good. There was not one thing I could come back with that I just had to have again and I considered amazing. Had a large selection. Staff was friendly. The staff was able to answer all the questions I had about the menu and made good recommendations.

We were passing through and heard wonderful things about this food! Damn it didn’t disappoint! The combination was good, amazing tamales, and that chili relleno enchilada was to die for! Definitely my new favorite Mexican joint! Now come make one in Utah county so it’s not so far away! 🤤🤤🤤

Pupusas were good, but the service was slow and the food took a while to get to our table. They overcharged on the check by a few dollars after I added up the amounts myself with taxes included, when asked about it they denied adding anything. Probably won’t be coming back, being dishonest over a few bucks doesn’t leave a great impression.

Very good food. Ordered the lobster burrito and it was delicious. Every bite had a large piece of meat. Highly recommend.

Homemade refried beans. The best Mole on the planet. Dragged my husband who hates Mexican food here and he inhaled his food. So good. Friendly, quick service. We will be back!

Great food and even better service

You cannot go into ERNESTO's and not ask for PUPUSAS, that right there is a SIN. If you never had or don't know what a pupusa is then it's time to try one. Mix or Cheese are my fav, but beware if you are like most people i have taken there to eat pupusas you cannot just eat one, nor two might as well order a few more to go. They are great for breakfast, lunch, dinner and definitely a snack throw them into the oven or heat them up on a pan. eat them alone or with the salad or just the sauce it doesn't matter. love them or hate them you need to try it. i discovered them during my vacation to El Salvador which is a safe place by the way, fake media always making things worse then they are. My family and i rented a car and we hit the road headed south to the beach. rented a little cabin near the ocean, dance during the carnival, visited the war memorials and we ate tons of PUPUSAS. Can't wait to head back there.

First time and last time. Screeching kids out of control...two of them, and "service" dog that wasn't and yipped. All near our table. Really was not a good dining experience. We ate quickly and left. Pork was big chunks and tough in the burrito, shrimp cocktail was very sour, cheese enchilada was good. Margarita was good. Busy and understaffed. Perhaps we were there at a bad time.

They need new management. Short staffed. *Zero Stars*

First time eating at Ernesto's... We had a party of 11 and they were able to accommodate us... The staff were awesome and friendly! Thank you!

Terrible service! Their hours on google are not displayed accurately. I called to see if they were open and the lady that answered didn't sound too friendly. I asked to see if I could do an order for takeout and she immediately cut me off and said "we are too busy to take orders to try back in an hour" and hung up. Called back later and their phone line was disconnected. The food is okay most days but not worth that kind of service. Don't waste your time.

The tacos are delicious. They have been my fovorite for years. Our waitress was friendly and kept our chips and salsa full. Great food good atmosphere. Thank you for a great meal again!

Fun place in saint George. My family took me there when I was visiting. The waitress was friendly as well.

The chicken enchiladas Verde were the best, the chili peppers made the sauce snap just right. The mole sauce is pretty good too. I only give it 4 stars because there were only two servers trying their best with a lot of customers. But overall very good food.

We've been eating at Ernesto's for years and it has always been great. Tonight was no exception. The chips and salsa were delicious and the dinner was excellent. The service was also great.

Ernesto’s was recommended to us when we were visiting in St. George. We were also told they had the best fountain drinks. The coke cola was good. The mexican food was very good and great portions. My only slight issue was the service (how long it took to get our food) was not super fast.

We've been going here for 25 years and their chips and salsa are top notch! We love Ernesto's!!

If I could give them 10 stars I would! This place is been consistently awesome and delicious over the 20 years we have gone. The food is delicious and they serve huge portions. The staff is accommodating happy and polite. Oh, and did I mention the prices are very reasonable? Please please please check out or Ernesto’s if you’re looking for authentic Mexican food and atmosphere. It is a overall great experience! Lucke Soul approved!

The service was bad and the food was not good either. I ordered green sauce on my food instead of red and the waitress told me they could not do that. Which made my food dry

The enchiladas verde were excellent, and the margarita too! We had prompt service and would gladly return.

Honestly don’t believe the bad reviews on here. No restaurant, business, or person is perfect. This place is homey and I love the atmosphere and the food is delicious! Yes there are little things that “could be better” but they are amazing and they are as good as you can get in a world where nothing is perfect. As for the people complaining about screaming kids, since when can a restaurant control that, let alone have it be their fault that they are nice enough to allow anyone to eat here and don’t discriminate against kids and families with kids. Some people are just never satisfied with anything or are just on here as competition and purposely leave bad reviews. Don’t believe everything you read. I don’t even like Mexican food that much to be honest, and I was hesitant to eat at any Mexican place and was brought here, and fell in love. So it goes to show. Five stars for sure for me! :)

I was hopeful after seeing many good reviews that this was a good place for mexican food. I. Was. So. Wrong. The food was not even mediocre. I ordered Chile Rellenos which had a strange taste to them. The rice? Not cooked well, it was still crunchy. My husband got Chilaquiles- a microwaved twin to the chips and salsa put on the table for free. Really unimpressed. But who knows- maybe the other reviewers got several drinks from the bar before they ate.All in all, I won't be back.

Amazing restaurant with fantastic food! Wonderful atmosphere and service!

Food was ok at most. The steak fajitas was hard. Chicken fajitas was pretty good but everything was bathing in oil! My husband liked his burrito but he's not as picky as me. Also considering that when we arrived the restaurant was not crowded, we waited a very long time to receive our food.
